This super, heavy-duty escalator is the workhorse in our line up, designed for moving heavy passenger loads in subways, airports and train stations, safely and comfortably with ease.

The Model T is produced according to EN 115-1:2017 norms and offers the following features:

MODEL T ESCALATOR DESIGN FEATURES

The Model T is the result of many years of development by an international team of experts with decades of experience in maintaining escalators in the public transit environment.  The ultimate design goals were safety, reliability and ease of maintenance.  This heavy-duty unit can transport passengers safely and comfortably in busy places such as at metros, airports and train stations. The balustrade is made of stainless steel and unlike other escalator models, it has external rollers.

Some key criteria, which determine the overall dimensions of escalators include the rise, incline angle, step width and speed.

The AKE Project and R&D teams, calculate escalator dimensions according to building traffic and load capacity, and use this to design site-specific solutions. Escalator dimensions are calculated and projected based on the  unit rise, the travel distance and the incline angle (standard 30° or 35°).
