AKE products chosen for the Gebze – Darıca Metro Line

165 transport units from AKE for the Kocaeli Gebze–Darıca Metro

Turkey's brand AKE has signed an agreement to produce 108 escalators, 10 moving walkways and 47 elevators for the Kocaeli Gebze–Darıca metro line project.

The metro line project consists of 11 stations. The project, to be completed in two phases, is planned to bring 8 stations into service by the end of 2022 and, with the addition of 3 stations as of September 2023, to enter service by the end of 2023.  The line, which will facilitate connection with the coast and with Marmaray, is planned to be 15.4 kilometers long. 

On the metro line beginning in Kocaeli Gebze – Darıca, long-lasting, high-quality elevators, escalators and moving walkways will be used. All transport units will be suitable for heavy-duty type and will provide comfortable transport.  On the metro line, which has a capacity of 330 thousand passengers, travelers will complete their journeys safely and quickly with AKE's elevators, escalators and moving walkways. In this major project, where the moving walkways will be 80 and 90 m long, the tallest escalator will be produced at 20 m in length.
