AKE has completed the second phase of its Vocational Training Project
AKE Asansör, an elevator, escalator and accessibility systems manufacturing and sales company operating in the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone, has completed the second edition of its Vocational Training Project. The project, aimed at training engineers and bringing them into the industry, lasted 3 months and the participating trainees gained experience in different areas.
The second phase of the Vocational Training Project that AKE Asansör runs to bring inexperienced engineers into the industry took place with 20 trainees selected from among 700 applications. Young female engineers made up 30% of the trainees. During the vocational training, which lasted until May, the trainees worked in the elevator, escalator, accessibility systems and cabin & control panel departments. They also received training in the purchasing, production planning and logistics departments.
In the project, which is carried out with the support of İŞKUR and has seen intense demand, the engineers who gained experience at the end of the training will begin working within the company.
AKE Asansör Chairman of the Board Çetin Keskin, noting that they offered an opportunity for newly graduated engineers to gain experience through the training project, said: “Our era was a world of possibilities; we did good work under limited conditions. Your era is a world of opportunities, and you must make the most of what is offered to you. What you learn at AKE Asansör will let you start ahead in your professional life.” He wished the young engineers success in their professional lives.
The young engineers who received their graduation certificates from the Vocational Training Project stated that throughout the program the department managers had put great effort into training the trainees, that they had learned in 3 months information that would be useful throughout their professional lives, and that they were pleased to have completed the program.
